About Me
My Work
I’m a semi-professional artist living and working in Buckinghamshire, UK. I recently graduated from Loughborough University with a BA Hons in Fine Art. I specialise in portraiture. I’ve always been interested in depicting the human condition - capturing an expression in a moment of contemplation or immortalizing a fond memory between friends on the canvas, as long as I’m painting something uniquely human then I’m happy. My aim with my portraiture is to be constantly growing and innovating. I enjoy changing up my style, never restricting myself to one particular method or type of brushstroke. My portraits of others are just as much a reflection of myself and my mood as my self-portraits.
Design has always been an important aspect of my work. I apply its principles to everything I do; whether it's the composition of a face within a painting or the placement of the illustrations on my jeans, I’m always paying attention to the details. Even in areas where graphic design is not directly linked, I draw on its concepts. I approached every makeup client I was handed while at Beauté Prestige International like I was being given a brief. I would figure out the client's wishes and then tailor my creative voice to suit them best.
My Experience
I am a member of both Leighton Buzzard and Berkhamsted Art Society, exhibiting in their annual open exhibitions. I have also exhibited in Hertford Art Society’s annual exhibition in 2021, at which a painting of mine was honoured as runner-up for Best in Show. I have also put on two solo exhibitions. In 2019, I presented a collection of my work entitled “A Flash Flood of Colour” at the Queen’s Park Centre in Aylesbury. That same year I also participated in Bucks Art Week, curating my at-home studio into an exhibition for the public to freely visit.
